(2) Invited the Foreign Secretary to proceed with constitutional

discussions to this and with the Federal Government and

other necessary consultations, in co-operation, if possible, with the United Nations Mission.

(3) Agreed in principle that we should provide military

support for the South Arabian state against external aggression for a limited period after independence. (4) Invited the Defence Secretary, in consultation with the

Foreign Secretary, to consider further the nature, duration and purpose of the support to be provided under (3) above.

(5) Approved the measures for countering terrorism in

South Arabia set out in paragraph 7 of OPD(67) 18.
